I understand we put our dog of 14.5 yrs down last Aug, he was very bad towards the end. Wasn't getting up cause it hurt to walk so he wasn't drinking like he should and was in constant pain.

It finally getting to the point where the puppy is old enough and I'm thinking about getting back in there and doing some coding, especially now that most of my shows that I watch on TV are having/had there season fanalies.

Working on some functionality to maintain the publishers, after that will be the maintain series functionality...

I have the same problem in reverse. My dog is old, but the general outcome is the same. I have been watching your progress, and even using your "beta" manually. I write in Filemaker Pro (currently using ver 9.0 advanced) and have been toying with UPCs for a little while. In all honesty your site peaked my interest.

GalaxyKing, thanks for the kind words...

Well, keep checking back here at the blog for updates... I've just pushed out dev sneak peek ver 1.2 - this will give you an idea of where I'm headed with the data maintenance portion of the web site, which seams like where the most development effort is.

I've tried several different comic book cataloging software packages none of which have been very satisfactory. Either they fall down in their User Interface, their ability to load series & issues or general usefulness after you get the data loaded.

Most Excellent sir! I've been trying several different ways to gather this information. I've been using different strategies for databasing my comics for years, but recently started using the UPC code. It's a little trickier than I'd hoped but your solution makes it look pretty easy. Is your series ID number a random number or is it generated from something? I've been breaking down the UPC codes and using the parts (ie first six as CompanyID) to link tables together.

DJ Jazzy Jeff, huh? Cool, I guess you do read my email ;-)

After the last trip to Moondog's eh... not even sure I remember when I made that last pilgrimage to that heavenly place.. and now its gone, <sniff>, you don't know how much you love something until its gone.

And hey, whats Kellogg's got to do with Kudos? Its made by <a href="http://www.kudosbar.com/kudos/index.htm" rel="nofollow">Mars</a>. Or were you playing off the words catalog -- kellogg, sounding the same. "You had me, then you lost me."

I'm not saying that I am Steve...but if I WAS Steve...I would say, "We begin bagging and boarding after the last trip to Moondog's".

Kudos to your site, and helping all those who catalog to catalog!!

(For that matter, kudos to those who work at Kellogg's who...uh...kellogg!!!)
